We’ve been talking about what you have to do at the beginning of every month. Then what things you must do at the end of every month?
Did you realize that this month flew by so fast?
It kept me high on excitement in its first week, and then, suddenly I took 2 weeks off from blogging and social media to heal my mental health.
A few next days after took some rest, I went settling things down, creating plans to support my goals, and trying to adjust to the revised plans.
There are so many simple yet powerful things you can do for yourself to prevent unnecessary stress at the end of every month. Even if you think you’re a disorganized person, you can learn new habits that will help you stay super organized!
Much of our success comes through consistent planning, constant action, and the regular checking of what we are doing in our days, weeks, and months.
If you are not regularly tracking your progress towards them, how do you know if you are getting closer or not? How do you know if you are taking the right steps?
By tracking your progress, it will give you records to look back on and help your future decisions. You can reflect back to see where you have done well, and here you have fallen short and need to improve.
So, without further ado, here 6 things you must do at the end of every month, read on!
Review – Resolutions – Reflect
If you love planning, you must have a physical planner or digital planner to write down your list. Take a deep look at your list. Choose a few to focus on this month.
Why are these goals important to you? How and to what extent would they give you pleasure once you achieve them? What goals have you already started with?
Answer such questions and write them in your planner, journal, or even on a plain sheet of paper. This exercise would strengthen your desire to achieve your goals and prepare you better for success.

Make A List Of Unfinished Tasks
Unfortunately, we will always have a few things to write on this list. Nothing makes me more restless than seeing unfinished tasks on my planner at the end of every month. This, in fact, goes for all of us right?
Don’t beat yourself up about not accomplishing something, rather use this as an opportunity to try again in the next month.
A completed task equals more inspiration for your coming up action. So, don’t leave things unfinished.
What were things that you may have been putting off and didn’t get around to accomplishing? Or maybe you tried to accomplish, but were not able to?
Writing these types of questions is a great way to keep yourself accountable. It gives you a visual way to look at which areas you fell short on. This puts a small amount of pressure on you to make sure you accomplish these goals the next month.
Do you see anything on your list that doesn’t seem worth doing anymore? Pick those and remove them from the list. It would help you from a ton of unneeded stress and anxiety.
Figure Out The Most Important Tasks You Can Accomplish
Let’s accept this. We all are guilty of indulging in unimportant tasks and activities leaving the important ones sidelined. Get rid of this habit next year!
Reserve your most creative hours for the important stuff each day and finish it without procrastinating. Small and not-so-essential tasks can be accomplished at a time slot when you’re not feeling very high on energy.
If you want to gain success next month or next year, you’ll have to be getting used to it just every day. A little success each day will amount to a big one at the end of the year. I make sure to do at least one thing every day that is directly affecting my goals, whether it’s weekly or yearly goals.
Start with your accomplishments. Write out all that you did over the previous month. Even your small accomplishments, try to think of as many accomplishments as possible.
As most people said, it is too easy to only focus on what we didn’t do, rather than what we did!
Take a look at the important things and activities you accomplished, and important things that you couldn’t touch at the end of every month.
Listing out your accomplishments is a great way to increase your confidence by giving you a visual way to acknowledge all that you did. Doing this will help you feel more fulfilled with your month and gives you the opportunity to give yourself some praise.
Replace A Bad Habit With A Good One
What drives us during those times? It’s our habits or what we called ‘mind wandering‘. That’s the reason we’re considered slaves to our habits.
At a time, I was checking my phone too much. Upon realization, I used 30 minutes or more to check notifs, my social media, reading on my phone, etc.
What is that one habit you would like to replace with the good one? Figure that out.
Mark Your Calendar For Any Events
What use would success and money be off, if you couldn’t share it with those you really love and care about? Make time to be with them. Whether they are your family or friends.
The best way to not forget important days like birthdays, anniversaries, and memorable dates is to mark them on your calendar.
Write What Will You Do Differently Next Month?
This is one of the most powerful questions out of this entire reflection.
What will you change this coming month?
If we never stop to ask ourselves this, it is easy to just continue on without making any changes.
If you don’t make changes, how can you ever expect to improve?
Work on coming up with a couple of changes and improvements you can make in the coming month. What are some new habits you want to start? What are some bad habits you want to stop?
